When it comes to crafting, the right adhesive can make or break the project at hand. At Palette & Paper we offer a variety of adhesives so you are sure to have the right product for your projects. Below is a walk-through of the products we carry and the types of materials they work best with.
You can find the majority of the glues and adhesive we carry located in this display.
In the top drawer, we carry Uhu Glue Sticks in three sizes. Glue Sticks work best on paper projects and are nice because they are easily portable, dry quickly and clear, are washable, acid-free and archival safe (making it good for using with photos).
In the second drawer, we offer a variety of foam squares and 3D dots in black and white. These “pop dots” come in a variety of sizes and have adhesive on each side. They add the perfect “pop” and dimension when layering diecuts, ephemera, stamped images, and more. You can use multiple dots to create height variations. Also, you can use cover them with glitter, craft foils, pigment powder and more.
We also have Sakura Quickie Glue Pens. This pinpoint roller glue pen is awesome for paper crafts that include small pieces. You can create a permanent or repositionable bond with this pen. Also, there is no need to shake or squeeze – you get a perfect line of adhesive every time.
Glue Dots work on a variety of materials including paper, plastic, foil, glass, aluminum, Styrofoam, wood, and PTFE. Glue Dots are faster and safer than hot glue guns, cleaner than liquid adhesives and leave no sticky residue like some double sided tapes.
Zig 2 Way Glue Pen (available in two sizes) offers both a repositionable and permanent bond. It goes on blue but dries clear for an invisible bond. The adhesive is safe to use in a variety of paper crafts and can even be used to “restick” the cutting mat for your electronic die cutting machines (ex. Silhouette, Cricut).
Ranger Glue N’ Seal (available in two sizes) is a multi-purpose glue and sealer that works wonderfully while making photo collages, paper projects, scrapbooks, greeting cards, chipboard photo frames, decoupage crafts, glass and more. It is non-toxic and acid-free.
Adhesive Pick-Up Square is a handy little thing to have in your crafty arsenal. Remove stray sticky on your projects. Rub the square in one direction to pick up excess. When the edge of the square becomes dirty, wash off or cut off the residue and continue to use. This works wonderfully when trying to remove the excess “stick” you may have when using a Xyron machine.
Wonder Tape by Ranger (available in a variety of sizes) is a double-sided, super-sticky, clear mylar tape. It is heat-resistant and holds paper to small embellishments permanently. It adheres to a multitude of surfaces and embellishments: photos, papers, chipboard, matboard, foamcore, micro beads, embossing powder, flocking, foil, glitter, small beads, and more. It is acid free and archival safe.
E-Z Runner is a must-have for every paper crafter. This handheld tape runner is filled with tiny stripes of adhesive that allow easy application in curves, circles and lines. There is no dry time and makes “gluing on the go” easy and quick.
Eclipse Art Masking Tape (available in two sizes) is a “delicately sticky adhesive” making this paper tape perfect for stamping and creating art masks. You can create repositionable stickers with it (did you hear that Planner Girls? Grab some stamps and a roll of this and make stickers to use in your planner!).
Crafty Power Tape is a super-high tack, translucent crafting tape. Crafty Power Tape makes it easy to apply any scrapbooking or papercrafting item from paper and photos to chipboard and heavy elements. Crafty Power Tape is the perfect size for ribbon too!
We hope this little guide will help you out in whatever “sticky situation” you may find yourself in.
