This past weekend was such a great one here at Palette & Paper. The sun was shining and Jen Starr was in town to share her knowledge in four classes hosted in our Studio. The classes held were Vintage Photo Transfer Canvas, Artistic Layers Art Journaling, Inka-Gold Canvas and Artistic Layers Mini Book. Jen's step-by-step instructions guided all of the attendees through the process, and everyone made some truly beautiful creations.
Here is a look at some of the creations in progress and once completed (click on the image below for more details):
The stand out products of the weekend were Viva Decor's 3D Stamp Paint and Inka-Gold. Everyone that used them said they needed to buy the products ASAP! Both the 3D Stamp Paint and Inka-Gold have a gorgeous metallic finish and are both so easy to use. Palette & Paper has a large selection of Viva Decor Products in stock. Also, we have saved some great inspiration and tutorials on our Pinterest Board for these products. Stop in today so you can see the gorgeousness in person.
Did you create something great this past weekend at a class? We would love to see it! Please post on Facebook and/or Instagram with the hashtag #paletteandpaperclasscreation.
Have you been bitten by the washi tape bug? We certainly have and can't help ourselves from stocking the Shoppe with lots of colors and patterns of washi tape.
So, what is washi tape? Washi tape has its origins in Japan and refers to tapes made from Japanese rice paper. Over the past few years the term has expanded to include decorative paper tape that comes in a wide variety of manufacturers, widths, colors and patterns.
So , what can you do with washi tape? Washi tape can be used in a variety of ways - from the simple envelope embellishment on a birthday card to a friend to more complex mixed media projects.
Above are just a couple of the pins that we have on our "Wonderful Washi" Pinterest Board. Click here for more inspiration.
At CHA this past January, Little B displayed a wide assortment of solid colored paper tape. What a great way to do paper mosaic crafts, especially with kids. By using paper tape it eliminates the need for messy glue. Check out our Paper Mosaic Pinterest Board for more inspiration. Once you are inspired, stop by P&P to pick up some supplies. We just got a ton of colors of the solid tape in stock and it's priced at only $2 a roll. Plus, don't forget to share with us what creative project you made!

It's Almost Here!
Cindy and I took a step of faith in changing our bible journaling format in order to grow a community of ‘regulars' who get to know each other, share ideas and experiences, become friends in Christ, all while being in His Word.
Thank you for the overwhelming response we have had from you in your commitment to helping grow this community!
If you have been undecided or haven't registered yet, you still have through Friday, April 1 to sign up. This allows Cindy and me the necessary time to make sure the kits are ready to go at the first quarterly group on Tuesday, April 26.
You can either register for the April-June Quarter for $30 or the remainder of 2016 for $90. Those choosing the latter option, receive the new Illustrated Faith Praise Book as a thank you!
Full details of the new format can be read on our webpage. If you have questions or thoughts please contact Cindy or me.
Also feel free to forward this message to anyone that you think might be interested!
